History
Holland Nursery, Inc. started in 1989 in what used to be the town of Holland, Virginia, now part of the City of Suffolk. We started with 7 acres and a dream. We grew Perennials and Seasonal color for the Independent Garden Centers and Landscape Contractors. The nursery quickly consumed the land available; therefore in 1996 we were forced to look for a new home. Also during this time we operated a full service garden center, landscaping, maintenance, and an irrigation company. Although we have since sold these businesses; we believe it has given us better insight as to the challenges facing our customers.
In 1997 we moved 7 miles away to Southampton County just south of Franklin Virginia to one of the oldest former dairy farms in the area. Today we now occupy 108 acres, giving us plenty of room to expand.
Since our beginning we have concentrated on serving the Independent retailer and Landscape Contractors. We continually strive to give our customers better and better products year after year.
